


My point here is that it's incredibly easy for end users too. I gave the relevant users at the org (executives and the legal team) access to the DropSuite software and showed them around and how to use it, they were able to do everything on their own. The interface for the archiving, eDiscovery, and legal hold is extremely easy to use, yet powerful. And my clients usually do too once they try setting it up themselves (and come back asking for DropSuite).

I loathe the way Microsoft implemented archiving, eDiscovery and legal holds in the native admin portal. A legal hold for one of my clients was made quite easy through the DropSuite interface.I also did this for one of the clients in the previous scenario with the retired employee's onedrive data. I know it can be done manually, but holy crap I love how quick it can be done with DropSuite. DropSuite has a function to copy a user's OneDrive data directly to another. But they needed the successor to have access to all of her OneDrive data. I'm like "That's why I told you to buy DropSuite," to which he replied "and that's why we pay you!" (This scenario has happened twice). As their trusted advisor, I told them they invested in DropSuite, and could download the data from the account easily, remove the account from O365, and still keep the data in DropSuite for as long as they need it, all without a license (as the account is deactivated in DropSuite). That ment he never told me of the retirement and the account was sitting there, unused, fully licensed, burning money and opening a security risk. He wanted to somehow download and keep the data from that account, but didn't know how. Client was worried about decommissioning an employee that retired.Examples of "coming in clutch" for my clients: Every retail client that was reluctant to spend the extra $$ on a backup solution, and all of my managed clients with DropSuite included, have said at some point that it paid itself off within a year by coming in clutch. DropSuite's interface is stupid simple, yet powerful. I've tried a few other solutions (Veeam, Datto, Acronis) for O365, but find DropSuite to have the perfect balance of function, quality, and support compared to the others.
